What is the Difference Between Life Coaching & Therapy?

This is such a good question! Life coaching has been around for a long time but it’s just now really starting to gain steam and it couldn’t be happening at a better time. With the momentum of mental health awareness being set at a lovely pace, the general attitude towards wellness has been on an ever-increasing rise. Couple this with the global rise in human consciousness and, well, you have a lot of folks seeking guidance on how to live a life of true joy and genuine contentment.

That’s where life coaching comes in.

What I love about life coaching is that it’s forward-thinking, present-based, and solution-oriented. Right there is the difference between life coaching and therapy. One focuses on the past while the other focuses on the future.

I think Forbes put it best when they said: “A coach looks at your present to help you create the future you desire, while a therapist looks at your past to help you manage your present.”

Couldn’t have said that better myself.

Life coaches collaborate with clients. We empower them by asking questions to allow the client to realize they are their own best experts on knowing who they are, and what they need and desire. We believe that you already have the answers you’re seeking; you just need a guide to help you explore and discover what’s been lying in wait all along. We don’t diagnose; we co-create. We work alongside our clients as a partner to uncover truths, demystify untruths, and, finally, discover one’s true destiny and help to build a future that is in alignment with the client’s authentic self.

That’s pretty powerful, friends.

If you’re ready to start living the life you always dreamed of, I can help with that! Reach out now to find out how.
