A Lesson in Crystal Healing (eye rolls welcome)

As I wrote in a previous post, more and more people are becoming more and more curious about things in this world that they’d never considered before. We are in the midst of a grand collective uplevelling in consciousness and when that happens, the byproduct is curiosity. We start seeking information on new topics that broaden our perspectives and shift our way of thinking. This began happening to me around 5 years ago, or at least that’s when I recognized the first little shift. Since then, there have been some significant changes in my life and they have beautifully led me to so many fascinating paths of discovery I’m so joyful to have experienced. Reiki, journaling, meditation, and the healing power of crystals.

Before you roll your eyes at me, let me give you a wee science lesson on crystals. When magma (liquid rock) begins to cool, the molecules and atoms begin to gather in an attempt to become stable. They do this in repeating patterns and it’s the pattern, coupled with the rate of cooling and pressure, that results in the formation of specific crystals and their different shapes. We know that everything in this universe is made of energy and we know that energy vibrates. Vibrations occur at different frequencies, therefore, everything in this universe vibrates at a certain frequency. This is the same for crystals. The repeating geometric pattern that form each crystal also determines the frequency at which that crystal vibrates. 

So, everything in this universe vibrates at certain frequencies and this includes our chakras, which are the seven energy centers of the body that regulate our wellbeing from an energetic perspective, generally speaking. When our chakras are at their healthiest, the frequency at which they vibrate is optimal. When they are not, they do not. 

Now let’s link this to crystals. As I mentioned previously, crystals vibrate at specific frequencies and the cooling rate and pressure during formation is what determines which crystal forms with which properties. Therefore, there are crystals that vibrate at the same optimal frequency as each chakra. When a crystal with the same frequency as a chakra is placed on or near that chakra, the chakra immediately begins to respond by trying to match its frequency by raising its vibration. This allows the chakra to open, release, and heal much more quickly than without the crystal. It’s like applying a healing salve to a wound. When the chakra matches the frequency of the crystal, it is now operating at its optimal energy, thereby allowing the recipient’s energetic body to heal, thus engaging physical healing as well. How? Because most, but not all, physical ailments can be traced back to emotional blockages associated with their corresponding chakra. Heal the emotional blockage, heal the physical ailment. This is information that has been handed down via healers, shamans, and medicine women and men throughout history. They passed this information down because they experienced and witnessed healing as a result of this information. If it didn’t work, the information would have fizzled out before it got through the first generation.

To stop that eye roll in its tracks again, you need not look far back into history to follow the healing effects of herbs adopted by healers. They learned that certain plants have medicinal properties and since there was no such thing as medicine yet, plants from the earth was all that they had and they worked. This too was passed down through generations and is still used today. Again, if these practices didn’t work, they too would have been discarded and forgotten.

This is why I became a Crystal Healer. It allows me to add another level of healing to my arsenal and to my Reiki practice, which helps me to work smarter, not harder.
